Should I get a CISSP if I already have a MS in Cyber?

Woot have my cissp and want to enter cloud security. Should I pursue ccsp, aws cloud cert, some other cyber cert?

CTC-19.6 LPA (was in UK for 5yrs), hence Indian CTC did not grow
Skill - IT Security Consultant (AWS Security, CISSP certified)

Currently in negotiation with Wipro, Deloitte and Crompton
All 3 have given a strict budget of 30-31LPA

I need help on 2 things
-Which co. has better growth in term of WLB, Skills, salary hike?
-As per my exp., what should be the best negotiation?

I’ve realized where I’m currently at, there’s no real training or skills development and i have to start doing it on my own. Currently have OSCP and CISSP, but want to transition to tech industry. Any recommendations? Get cloud certs? terraform certs? etc?

To late in life to get a law degree? I’m 30 and always wonder what if. Figure by the time I’m 33 it would be too late to even jump into big law as an associate. Mind consistently jumps around from JD, MBA, or CISSP (ya I know it’s all over the place).

Advice for the CISSP exam? How long did you study, what tools did you use to study, tips, etc!

I have 3 yoe in cyber security/Enterprise Security. Primarily in the role of leading business security discussions with large customers. I hold a CCSP.

However I am not hands on in any domains except soc reports. Eventually I want to hold a leadership role. Any advice on what to do next (Certs, etc)? Currently studying for CISSP.

What’s next?
I am working in the cyber field as a new Manager. I recently acquired the certs CISM, CISSP, and Prince2, I also hold a M.Sc. I’m Too old for full time MBA and not interested in getting deeper into Cybersecurity than I already am. So for the first time in very a very long time (10y) I don’t know what to do. I want to further my career but doesn’t really know how or which way to go. Should I go for an online MBA or something else? So please help a restless mind figure out whats next.

Have 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, a CCIE, CISSP, CISA and CEH + MBA working as Manager in corporate strategy consulting. I want to get bk to industry. Anyone hiring for a senior strategy or a principal security role? But, on H1B!

Cyber Security is the now and future. I don’t want to or plan to be a technical SME, but want to be able to understand concepts and potentially work on the business / strategy side of cyber and/or Risk Management. Would getting a CISSP help or is thought more technical focused and require extensive experience? I almost passed security + and then gave up / never retook it

Anyone have a MS in Cyber? Is it worth it if you have CISSP?

Ive started working early and never went the college route, so I don’t have a bachelors degree or equivalent - I don’t even have a college certificate. I’m currently CISSP certified and have about 4 years exp in Big4, 9 in IT in general.
Career wise, I have no issues getting offers and it’s going really well.
One of my good friends said I should still do a bachelors degree just to get the box checked - he’s not in cybersecurity though. I feel like it would be useless at this point. Thoughts?

Besides the usuals (CISSP, CISM). If I want to increase my knowledge of security, specifically networks and network security, does anyone have any certification recommendations? I want to be well rounded but I lack the foundational technical network knowledge tbh I’m so SOC and security focused

Best cert to get to start getting into cloud space? Firm is paying and I already have CISSP so do have a basic understanding of cloud and security. Also have CISA but haven’t done audit in years

I keep getting contract offers on LinkedIn (think self-employed consultant). The rates seem really good ($120-$150/hr). I have around 5 years exp and a CISSP. I’m highly considering leaving big4 to become a contractor/self-employed consultant. From a risk perspective I’m young and have no kids and low debt.
Anyone did it? Any feedback?

Looking to break into cyber consulting at Deloitte. The job description states 3+ YOE, but I’m at 2. Will this automatically disqualify me even if I do a great job selling myself / experiences?

I’m a manager at a big 4 doing IT Audit. I have CISSP and a masters in cyber… would it be possible to switch to another big 4 to their cyber practice or would they want me to come in as a senior associate?

I can do it all from cobol to assembly to c++ And yes j know all the administrative stuff. I know NIST like the back of my hand. I know coso, cubit, iso.. I have other advanrages: I know people on boards and have gotten a great relationship. Been here 1.4 years. Passed up for a promo. Devastated. So no appeal?

I’m interested in IR, malware analysis, and threat intelligence but currently focus primarily on cloud architecture, governance as code, and DevSecOps. Currently have AWS security and associate architect certifications + a technical masters. I’m debating whether to go for CISSP or OSCP. How can I leverage my existing skill set into security operations/blue team work? Should I just accept that I’d need to take a pay cut? (Currently at 5yoe 230k tc)

Can you share major differences between security PgM and security TPM in Google/Meta? Trying to understand how technical is security TPM. Also do any certs without hands on experience help during interview process? I am considering a switch. Currently a Senior Manager with CISSP and broad security background but do not have deep technical knowledge.

I'm thinking about moving to Austin TX to work at FAANG or equivalent in Cyber Security and would like to get your perspective on TC expectations or even just opportunities!

I have 5+ years in cyber security consulting, GRC primarily but have a solid low level tech understanding as I have OSCP, + other general certs like CISSP, CISM. In addition to this, I have been a keynote speaker at conferences, and published articles in cyber security magazines.

Thoughts on the CISSP? It seems kind of scary to me coming from more of an accounting background. Currently in IT audit and would like to get more technical knowledge and maybe transition to something non-SOX and hopefully more cyber. Think the CISSP is worth it for this?

Could a CISSP certification help for TN or H1B? I’m a canadian citizen

What’s the most time effective way to study for the CISSP? I’m already at least semi knowledgeable - without studying I can get in the high 50s on the Boson practice tests, and just need to brush up on a few areas (by no means an accomplishment - providing as a data point to indicate I know more than nothing).

CISSP-ISSAP or TOGAF?

Has anyone taken the CMU CISO Program? What are other similar or better alternatives? (Not looking for CISSP or CCISO type of certifications but actually learning sessions for cybersecurity executives)
