Hi all, I’m a Sr Analyst with CISSP and Sec+ wanting to go into Cybersecurity Engineering. I have a strong coding background but so far no luck getting my CV through. What are my next steps? Any cert recommendations?

I read on this app that you get lots of traction if you have CISSP cert. What’s so special about it? Why other security certifications don’t come close to it?
I don’t have security background hence curious :)

How valuable are the AWS certs, particularly Solutions Architect? Is it only valuable if you get the Pro certification (instead of just associate)? What about the AWS Specialties like Security or ML?

My employer pays for them but considers them simply nice-to-haves. I suspect this might be normal? I’ve only heard of recruiters fawning over CISSP.

Anyone have their CISSP? Any study tips?

What cert would you recommend after CISSP? I’m looking towards CAPM or CCSP next but definitely interested to hear other suggestions. Thank you.

I’m closing in on 3 YOE (1 as a Senior), is it worth it to get Sec+ or CISM as certs at this point or should I just gun for CISSP? Hoping to get some certs under my belt but don’t want to dedicate time to one that won’t matter/increase market value should I choose to exit someday. Only thing I have right now is my work experience, no cyber-related certs.

I am a security analyst with 4 YOE. I’m looking to leave my current position after I get vested. Currently studying for my CISSP cert so that I can earn more in my next role. I’m looking to earn 150k. Is that ideal?

What salary can I expect at a B4 org at D level + 20 Y with cloud certs and infosec certs (CEH, CISA, CISSP) ?

I have an opportunity in DC for an international organization. I've +10 yoe in IT, cyber and privacy as well as several certifications (cissp, cisa, cism, azure fundamentals).
Is 110k an acceptable salary for my yoe and creds, considering that, since its an international organization, I'd be tax exempted?

Working on getting CISSP right now; would love to hear any recommendations for study materials if anyone would be willing to share.

I've read the book, have the official prep questions, and about 7 YOE in cybersec but honestly had CCNA and Sec+ in the past and found passing to be more relative to how I'd studied to the test than doing the actual job...

How much does it cost to give CISSP Exam?

Is there market value in getting your CISSP before you have the 5 years of relevant experience? (CISSP Associate). I already work in cybersecurity, just 2 years shy if needed experience

Looking for advice. What the skills I can gain to be a cybersecurity consultant? I know it’s kinda vague as I know there are lot of fields you can specialize in. I have obtained CompTIA Sec+, CySA+ and CASP+ certification. I also passed CISSP. Now I don’t know what to do. Workwise I haven’t been staffed in cyber projects so I can’t explore what I like. What do you guys think are some hot skills that a cyber consultant has? And what’s the best way to obtain those skills?

Can I take the PMP even if I don’t have 3 years of management experience and just be a “PMP associate” or something until I have those 3 years (like how you can take the CISSP before you get the experience and be a CISSP Associate)?

Looking to exit as a 3rd year in big4 strategy, risk, and compliance to a more technical security role (nothing too crazy, just a more generalized role) in industry, but struggling to get interviews. I’ve obtained cissp associate and have some programming exp but I think my lack of hands on experience in areas like IR or VM is hurting.
