I'm relatively new to consulting, so I'm asking this out of ignorance, but is the PMP (project management professional) certification not a valued credential in consulting? Maybe it is, but I don't see it very often or mentioned in job descriptions. Just curious for my own professional development.

12 yoe mba, pmp, cleared and living in Northern Virginia. Have both technical and management experience. Making 120ish right now and feel very underpaid. What kind of opportunities should I look for? I have family here so prefer in the DMV area. I saw Amazon has some cleared jobs but not sure they want super technical or some technical is good. Is there a position or title I should aim for or they gauge my experience? Other suggestions welcome too. I am not greedy but not complacent either. Thank
