Heading out of the country on Friday — where do you guys exchange currency in the city? Is it better to go through your bank (I have the chase sapphire preferred if that makes any difference) or Currency Exchange International etc?

Who is planning to/already has recently cancelled their CSR due to (1) the increase in annual fee, and (2) projected decrease in work related travel?
What are you using in place of the CSR?

Based out of NYC, which credit card do you recommend? I don’t book the flights, only hotels etc. Was looking at Chase sapphire reserve but not sure

Annual CSR fee hits in October and I’m thinking of getting rid of it (at least for now). Currently have the freedom unlimited as well. This will be my 4th year of having the card so I’m eligible for the signup bonus again. Should I cancel my CSR in September then re-apply for the sapphire preferred (100k signup), then upgrade the preferred back to CSR and use some of the points to pay for the $550 annual fee? Any idea if this wouldn’t work?

Can I change my email associated with CSR to get Lyft Pink and Grubhub Plus account updated? Like I had it on my previous email but need to create a new account with Grubhub. Anyone have any thoughts?

Any idea what’s a better card out of the following? 1) Chase Sapphire Preferred ($95) 2) American Blue Cash Preferred ($95). Both have the same annual fee but not sure which is good in a long run.

Currently have the Chase Sapphire Preferred, considering upgrading to the Reserve but also looking at AmEx Gold/Plat. Past the time-lock period for Chase so I will be eligible for the sign-up bonus again if I do upgrade.

Not sure if any upgrade is worth it but am planning to travel (should the Delta variant subside) so want to maximize the sign-up bonuses and perks for my next card.

I’ve had the CSR for almost 5 years now, can I get the Preferred as well and the signup bonus?

I have points (American, CSR, Marriott), however, I feel as if I’m not very good at finding the best way to leverage them. Anyone here have a special talent/hobby of helping those of use who don’t have a lot of points get the most out of them?

Can someone check my math? My apartment complex allows us to pay via credit card for a $6.95 fee. If our rent is $1,910, it would make sense point-wise, to pay via Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card since the points could be valued at $28.65, assuming a 1.5% rate, right? Am I missing something?

I currently have a Chase Sapphire Preferred (my only personal credit card). Thinking of getting a United Explorer Card for the 70K miles.

Doing home improvement work and will def be able to meet the minimum expense limit.

Worth it to get this card? Better off getting something else?

Planning on having lots of credit card travel/dining expenses for the next 6 months (airbnbs, groceries, Uber/lyfts etc.) Currently have CSR which I use for everything, and rarely use: Marriott Bonvoy AMEX (might cancel since no more travel/hotels), BOA Cashback 3% online shopping (use for some subscriptions), Apple Card for Apple subscriptions.

Does it make sense to get the United Explorer credit card for 70k points (free for 1 year then $95 after)? United silver status trying to get higher

Have some big upcoming expenses as we purchase a home (window treatments, move, some new furniture, etc). Have CSR but any good signup bonuses or other cards to benefit from all the spend? Obviously know not to open anything until we close but wondering your thoughts - could be $20k very quickly and want to maximize the opportunity.
