I had a second round interview for an entry-level Investment Analyst position with OMG exactly 2 weeks ago.

Today I got a call from a woman with Primerica (financial services) saying she was given my info & that they were interested in me. We had a mini chat & we set up a longer one for tomorrow.

Do you think OMG gave my info out instead of a direct no? Is it a good sign she reached out to me so fast? Is she a headhunter or just a recruiter?

Asked to write a case study as part of interview for a data analyst role! Anyone have any suggestions on what cases might be best? I was thinking of using an insight (from a past campaign) but am afraid it’s too specific and not something that can be applied to all campaigns.

I'm interviewing for Sr Analyst @ McK in a few days. One of the interviews is a Technical Exp Assessment, which I was told was to be a convo about my excel exp. Anyone know what kind of stuff they'll ask or have any experience going through experienced hiring at McK?

I am a degree apprentice for a big 4 consultancy, with 1 day off for study (management degree with the Open University).

Once I complete my degree, I hope to join either McKinsey, Bain or BCG as a generalist. I will have 4YE working as a (non-strat) analyst.

As I see it, my greatest obstacle will be getting an interview given my lack of a prestigious education/good upbringing.

Grateful for any insights on how I can maximise my chances/if I have a chance at all.

Seems like the “Financial Analyst” role is just a new title for Accountant. I’m on my third interview for a Senior Financial Analyst position but the job description seems to be a mixture of both general accounting activities but also financial statement analysis. Is this a trap? Or is it truly a hybrid finance/accounting role?

I'm a senior who interviewed for a "commercial operations analyst" role. The role was interesting as it required CPA and involved commercial and operational performance analysis as well as management and client reporting. However after further investigation and post-interview, I realised that the people i reported to directly didn't have any accounting/finance background (BD/strategy).

I'm focused on a FP&A career. I was wondering if the lack of experience from reports is a bad move.

I'm supposed to set up time with the VPs next week to introduce myself. How should handle this calI? "Hi - here's my background, call me if you're hiring?" don't think they're going to hire me without transaction experience. Fake it until you make it? Maybe propose coming in as an analyst if they say no?

Genuinely curious how common is a non-lateral (step up) move from T2/boutique to MBB? My experience so far has opened up an opportunity to interview for McK Associate with 3 YoE at a boutique consulting firm out of undergrad. I'm the equivalent of a Senior Analyst at McK at my current firm so a bit surprised I even got the call.

How many business days does it take for companies to make a final offer? It’s been 7 business days since I had my final interview for a Senior analyst role @ Accenture and I’m wondering if I should follow up
