Have a second round interview with a Midwest bank (public but small) for an M&A analyst role. LCOL city. $65-70k comp with a 10-20% bonus. Currently a Big4 consultant staff 2 (1 YOE) making $58k. Is this an exit worth pursuing?

It’s been 48 day since the layoff! I have had 2 interview. One was with Salesforce and I was supposed to be in the final round and then they put the position on Hold and another one was with a Pharma Client in Boston and they picked another person for the role... I’ve just been so stressed on when I could be employed again be stress free.. still looking for a Salesforce Business Analyst position if someone could recommend or refer me I’ll be really thankful.

A friend of mine has passed through three interviews for EY's Comply team in San Antonio. Now they want her salary expectation for coming in as an experienced analyst. I was thinking a range of $55k-$65k. Too aggressive?

Hello FB, Recent grad here: I recently found out that the boutique strategy firm I was signed with is rescinding my analyst offer and I feel a bit lost on how to rebound into the industry. Any tips/recommendations on how to squeeze my way into a good firm during COVID? I was a case coach at my college (confident in my interview skills) and have a strong background, I just need to know how I can get my foot in the door during COVID while not in on campus.. any advice helps. I have 1 YOE in management consulting and am thinking of applying to BlackRock's Full time analyst program for the PE and infrastructure alternative investments teams.
1) Are any 🐠 here aware of the latest comp?
2) Are these teams involved at all on directly investing in projects/firms or are they only invested in Fund of Funds?
3) Do they have any use for people with a passion for improving the portfolio companies financially &operationally?

Should you ever take yourself out of the running for a role because you no longer feel qualified? I’m currently interviewing for an industry role that was posted as a senior analyst but going through the interview process it seems like they need someone at a manager / director level. I keep getting scheduled for follow up interviews but I don’t feel like even if I end up getting the role I’d be very overwhelmed with the responsibilities.

I’m a senior analyst (a little over 2 years of exp and up for a consultant promo this November) in the SF office and interviewed for an L3 Pgm role. What’s the typical base, equity, and bonus of this level? Would L3 be equivalent to my years of exp or am I jumping up 1 level?

I’m on the verge of closing out a final interview where my salary will go from $70k base/no bonus to $105k base+10% bonus. My title will go from senior analyst to manager. However, I’m going from Accenture to a startup that got acquired (has $2 bn parent company so bankruptcy isn’t going to happen) and I’ll be going from working with a young crowd to older people. I wouldn’t hit the comp the startup is offering for at least 3-4 yrs if I stayed at Accenture. Any advice/thoughts?

Im current at EY in a consulting group that does not focus on deals, but have completed few due diligence type engagements. We focus mostly on ODD (Operational Due Diligence) for private equity firms. I really want to make it into IB. I have an interview for a Valuation and Opinions Role. Would that help in transitioning in as an IB Analyst? I would have a substantial pay cut (100K to 85K - excluding bonus). My current experience has not been seen as valuable by recruiters.

I’m currently at a key competitor, and confident I could land an interview. How would you try to successfully get the role? Impossible? Burnt bridge?

Considering applying for an entry level business analyst (consulting) position at a competitor Big 4 firm. I just completed my first year in audit, so I’m wondering if it’s still appropriate for me to apply as entry level instead of experienced hire?

I'm a senior in college. I just got invited to interview for the Strategy Analyst position at Deloitte in their GPS practice (I go to a school in DC), but I never filled out the application lol. How does federal compare to commercial in terms of pay, wlb, prestige, etc? I would appreciate any and all advice, as I am new to this. I had a 1st round interview phone call with Analyst and after not hearing back after 10 days, I contacted the internal recruiter who originally reached out. They said the team is still interviewing and will reach out when team makes a decision. It’s almost 1 month since original call and haven’t heard anything. Any thoughts? Is this normal?
