Currently entry level consultant. 75k total comp. Offer for software sales position at a start up targeting IPO which has recently experienced rapid revenue growth and funding. 90k base, 1% commission on all sales (which in talking to people currently at the role I’ve pegged at ~10k a quarter), and equity. Bowls thoughts on the exit? My only concern is leaving consulting before better exit ops present themselves, but this opportunity (especially with IPO on horizon and equity) seems good.

Any tips for narrowing the job search? I want to go to industry, but haven’t really learned anything industry specific / hard skills as a consultant. What roles outside S&O do consultants exit to?

1) Is it worth moving from deloitte USI to kpmg india with 37%?
2) Is 13.7L average packeage for senior con in kpmg india or low?

Got an interview opportunity at an IB recently for an Analyst role. I’m a Senior consultant with a Masters Degree with 2 years of work experience. When I asked if they’d offer me Associate instead of Analyst, they said that no one from B4 exits to an IB at associate with just 2 years of work ex. Is this true? Please offer any advise on how I should proceed further. Thanks.

She now wants to work for Google full time and is confused if she can use her @google.com email to apply for jobs internally/reach out to potential hiring managers and recruiters. Would you say its legal for her to do so? Also can she change her title in LinkedIn as Product @ Google / Consultant at XYZ? Any other tips highly appreciated!!

Is it a lateral move from Deloitte Consultant to PWC Senior Associate?

For context, I was up for promo last year but it was rescinded due to covid. SC promotion is “all but guaranteed” this cycle 🙄. I know PWC has an extra level with the new SM role so not sure if I’d be lateraling to SA3 from C at D? It’s a 40% base comp increase but just curious what the outside perception is... currently 3YOE, top right scatterplot. I’m thinking I could make M in a year or so but is that like SC at D??

Reached the 2 year mark as a senior consultant for KPMG Canada. I do mostly Strategy consulting work. Severely underpaid (less than 65k). I hold a JD/MBA and have 5 years of government experience prior to joining consulting. Any suggestions on exit opportunities?

What are the exit options for an LEK consultant in life sciences (post MBA with 1-2 year experience)?

I romanticized being a consultant while working in industry. Then I got a consulting job, a couple promos, and now the idea of consulting just makes me roll my eyes. I love the pay and I don’t mind working hard, w/ long hours, but the “business of consulting” is exhausting (e.g. maintaining utilization, selling engagements, 6k iterations of a deck, etc). Great company, great co-workers, and interesting engagements.... I can’t be the only one feeling this way.

Time to exit or is this a phase?

As a Digital Strategy Consultant that had a major in computer science, I am considering exiting into a software engineer role. My main concern is that I have been doing power-points and excel and not coding. What can I do to position myself best for this? Thinking of creating a portfolio of home projects.. though I have not been doing anything since joining (4 years) and really don’t have much after work.
