Received an offer from Deloitte last Thursday, and the hiring manager emailed me the same day to saying he is very happy that I am joining…But the truth is I have not even signed the letter and have actually decided to take another offer instead. How should I respond the email (or should I respond at all)? I want to be as respectful as possible and not burn any future bridges…

I got really tired of my engagement manager and put in my 2 week notice last week before another job lined up. Now exploring new opportunities. I have 4 yoe (2 years at Kpmg NY) within financial services, compliance, asset management etc. Can someone help out with referral or guide with open roles?

I am being interviewed by CTS for manager role and I already have an offer for 19LPA from another company. How much should I ask for manager role now? Is there any joining bonus offered? Please suggest from your recent experiences.

Interviewing for a position not held by anyone previously.. for a manager position. I would be leading the accounting department reporting to the controller When I asked about expectations, the answer made me pause. He wasn’t really sure and said it’ll be ever evolving. This is my 4th interview and now I’m not sure if I should continue. Other than that everything about the company sounded great.

Ever get annoyed when your friends/acquaintances at FAANG say you should probably apply to SM role than the PPM role because they think PPM is too far out for them? Like why do they ask you to apply to a smaller role when you know you’re 100% capable of the PPM because working with D as a Manager about to become SM might mean you already might’ve meant you dealt with more challenges and trends in the market? Or, is it just me?

Had a good last round interview and hiring manager wants to schedule a call for next week, how excited should I let myself get??

How are you applying to jobs? Besides referrals, are you looking up the hiring manager info and contacting, etc? I’ve been getting pretty lazy with LinkedIn easy apply 😬

Anyone have any thoughts on including a short description of your position on your resume underneath your title? Then listing your bullet points or accomplishments after.

I think typically you would try to do describe your role and accomplishments in the same bullet point but maybe adding a description would help the recruiter or hiring manager understand your previous experience better?

I'm curious if my current roles compensation is competitive or not. I'm making $73,000 as a campaign manager with a performance bonus in place (10%). It's hard finding salary comparisons for this title especially because what I'm finding is specific to political campaigns. I work for a Fortune 500, B2B in the corporate marketing department. I'm based in Atlanta...does anyone have an idea on what a competitive salary is for this type of role?

Is S& hiring at SA/Manager level for their CDD or strategy team? Can someone refer please?

I referred a close friend for a position L9-L7 (TBD). I had advised him not to disclose the amount of his expected salary, until he goes through all the interview rounds. Rather, I asked him to find a way to get a range for this role.

However, during the interview, the manager insisted on giving a number for 15 minutes, until he gave up his minimum salary to consider joining.

Is this a push by the management? Has anyone avoided disclosing their expected salary until offer was provided?

Interviewed for a role. 4 interviews total. 2/4 interviews went extremely well (Including 1 with hiring manager) . 1/4 I’d consider went fine. 1/4 not great (with the hiring managers manager), lacked confidence in my responses and certain questions I just didn’t have any experience. Pretty much tried to BS an answer.
How likely is it that I get the offer if I performed better than other candidates but unimpressed my future bosses boss?

I’m considering an offer for an information governance and records manager position at a large pharmaceutical company. What do my future prospects look like if I were to continue on this path? Series E general manager role. What % equity can one expect?

Currently a senior, working hard to promote Manager in a year/two. Firm wants to submit PERM with EB3 senior position and said no promotion should be taken until getting I140. Only less than 2yrs left on H1B. Getting 140 can take very long and don’t want to delay career progress. Is this even right, why cannot file PERM for a future position? What can I do now? Pls advice!

I have an offer I signed where they want me to give a start date . Its 185k base 6% 401k.
I am at the end of final round for Microsoft customer success manager position. I actually did 3 interviews for final round but need to do another one with 2 managers who have roles i may be fit for. The HR did say the top range for the position base is 150. Should I give my start date and see where this Microsoft role goes? I don't know how much TC I can get from MS.
