Switching team internally competing with external candidates. was asking a promotion for next grade midpoint but was ok to accept >=50% hike which i told hiring manager before the process start itself which he said will consider if I'm the one selected.

Attended 5 rounds-- 1 coding, 2 technical, 1 managerial, 1 hr. Now after 2 months telling me I'm the selected one, but offering me just 20% hike and same grade

Any chance for negotiations? Any tips or guidance are appreciated. please help

Is it safe to join as manager in cognizant for a cybersec role?

So a company I interviewed with took me to the final round but rejected me for an architect role. Then, two months later the hiring manager hits me up for a manager role he thought I would be a good fit before the job was posted. We had a call and he said he thought I would be a long shot replying back to him. Also, he said everyone liked me and no need to interview. He said he has to post it and let HR do their thing before he can make a final decision. Why post a job if you want me for it?

Sharing for transparency…I left my strategy consulting job for a corporate strategy role at a large industrials company. At the senior manager level, I was offered 180 base and 20% bonus target. The base was comparable to what I made in consulting and bonus is probably a bit lower (but varies by year, last year my bonus in consulting was basically nothing). I’m sharing because when I was recruiting I wasn’t sure it was possible to find a role like this and I’m glad I was wrong!

I’m being interviewed at Google for a Business Systems Manager position based in Austin. What should I be prepared for?

Just got hired into a management role for 90k for the first time. I’m struggling as this is my third week and my manager isn’t around and I’m dealing with some client issues I haven’t seen before - my friend (not in the industry) told me that I shouldn’t expect more guidance at this salary bracket. Experienced huge incoming surge of imposter syndrome. Is this reasonable?

Recruiter rant:
It constantly amazes me how non-responsive recruiters can be. Countless times I’ve reached out to recruiters on LinkedIn and gotten zero response, and then the hiring manager responds within a day. It’s literally your job to respond to candidates. Between that and just ghosting my mind is always blown at the lack of attention and care.

I have a but of a situation. Just started a job as a Sr associate and found out a program manager was hired a month earlier who has equivalent exp/education as me. I like my job but feel that I shouldn’t be in a more junior role than this manager since we have very similar backgrounds. I interviewed for this role after they had already hired the program manager (I didn’t know at the time I was interviewing). Thoughts on what I can do?

I'm interviewing for an L4 Finance position. I did well on my first round interview with the hiring manager and recruiter reach out following day to setup a second round with a different stakeholder. It has been 3 days now since my second round interview and no updates from recruiter.

Currently on £50k base with 4yoe and basically guaranteed promo to next grade EOY which will rise to £65k base.
