On the Project Management side of tech consulting, received an attractive offer for a Manager role at Cognizant within their advisory group. Currently a SC at IBM and mostly work on implementation projects, however my interest aligns more closely with advisory. As a counter IBM has agreed verbally to promote me to MC in 3 months with a significant salary bump but lower compared to Cognizant. HELP!?

Deloitte Analytics Senior Consultant in DC area. What salary range can be expected? 5 yoe

Can anyone tell me what normal SC consulting pay is? I’ve been with Deloitte coming up on 3 years and I’m still at 65K. (Never got a signing bonus either) I’m getting promoted to SC this May and hoping for 90K but am positive they’ll fall short and even 90K seems low to me. (But I did have perfect scatterplots and 150hrs of FIs) I’m a forensic consultant and am currently pursuing an MS in data analytics. Just got offered SC M&A analytics at Deloitte for 40% bump and promotion, 1.5 YOE. Currently in the assurance practice at another Big4, and they are tentatively considering me for switch to advisory at the end of year review, but no promises ofc. Is it a bad move to hop after requesting to switch? I don’t think the comp will even come close, even if the switch did happen.
