WFH fishes - what’s your current home office monitor setup? My current crappy 22 inch monitor is going and I want to upgrade to 2 external monitors. All advice or experience would be appreciated!!

Are treadmill desks and cycle desks harder for data scientists to use than general consultants? I want one but I would have to forgo the second monitor and I wonder if it will be harder for me because I’m coding sometimes, which might need more control than when writing email. I might be overthinking this though.

I have a question for LCA requirement. I moved to a new apartment which is 60 miles away from my old one and home office. Would I need a new amendment and can't work until they file it? Should I let my project know about it? Thanks

I am on H1 B single whose home office is in Manhattan. I live in the New Port area of NJ. Due to the COVID pandemic I do not think that I will have to go to office for another 4 months. Can I possibly work from a location somewhere in the fly over states for the next 4 months ? Will I have a problem with LCA s ? Has anyone had USCIS random visits at their home work location ?

I know there have been lots of posts on Herman Miller Aeron, etc. but any recommendations for an office chair that will be comfortable for long work days but not be an eyesore in the middle of my apartment? Standard office desk chair will feel out of place with surrounding decor, but more design-oriented options are basically dining chairs that will kill my back with 12-14 hour days. Help!

Looking for suggestions for house plants (two or three varieties) that look good, don’t attract insects and worms, hardy, and low maintenance (don’t need daily watering). Hello my fellow shoal of fish. I am seeking recommendations for a lounge chair in my office. I currently have the adjustable stand desk and a relatively comfortable office chair (not when reclining) but the other half of my office is empty. Im putting in a 55” tv and need a recliner, lounge chair, or something of the sorts to put in front of the tv. Something where i can put my feet up. Conference calls are such a drag when i have to sit at my desk.

Do not treat Ergonomics lightly or you will suffer the consequences. Invest $1000 in that standing desk. Your body will thank you!

(Or build a cheaper version. Just make sure you give ergonomics its respect.)
