Hello Are they any other HR licenses that are as valuable as the SHRM and HRCI ?

Every company I’ve ever worked for has no money ever for anything, we are 2 years behind COLA raises and forget merit increases. Am I just in the wrong industries? I’m currently in Higher Ed… I wanna work in HR with a budget to pay people and provide quality benefits! What’s your experience like? Am I dreaming? What industry “has money”?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a great headhunting/recruiting firm that specializes in placing HR professionals? I’m starting the process of looking for a new job and would love to work with a firm on my search. I’m based in the DC area but am most interested in remote opportunities, followed by local ones that would require minimal in office presence.

Looking for PHR prep class recommendations. Preferably virtual. TIA!

After 3 years of freelancing, I just landed my first in-house journalist job!! I’m so happy!

I have got offers-:
1. Lti 15 fixed
2. Mphasis 18(17.1 fixed)
3. Pegasystems 14(13.1 fixed)

Pegasystems is a product based company with alot of benefits but salary is very low.
Mphasis is offering good but heard they have very less development projects and also wlb is not that good
LTI is also offering good and heard that again wlb is not good.

LTI and Mphasis are service based companies.

What should I do ?

I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.

Has anyone ever worked at an agency in which the project management department was properly utilized? I traditionally was brought up in my career where PM type tasks were handled by lower level AMs. I have observed separating AM and PM tasks into two separate departments just causes communication issues and lazy account people. Account people should have a good understanding of how much effort and time goes into a project. Project Managers are missing a lot of context so blind leading blind.

We have worked hard and invested into our respective professions!! i find it insulting what is being offered as far as compensation!!!

IMHO, our stint in consulting’s purpose is to develop a corporate strategy skillset. Doing CDDs is one of if not the best way to get a ton of reps and variety in our 18 - 24 month tenure.

With options among MBB, T2 incl S&, EYP, and general Big 4 / ACN MC:

- Take MBB (can ask for CDD, overall better comp package)
- Reject B4 MC (won’t get it here)
- T2 (pick other T2s if you want way more strategy projects that aren’t CDD / growth strategy)

Anyone else feel like your junior creatives don't want to be creative?? Ex: "I'd love to see some new options. Anything you'd like, no restrictions" response "Do we have to? They'll never buy it"😳

Why would a business choose to hire an agency instead of going the much cheaper route and hiring a freelancer?

Those who do financial modeling at work: for case study in interviews, is it bad practice to submit a model based on a premade template, assuming that I understand all formulas and incorporate my own reasonable assumptions? For reference, I don’t work with fundamental modeling (quant background) so I needed to get a template to teach myself. TIA
