Has anyone just taken a break from work without anything lined up? Every offer I’ve gotten wants me to start in a month and with 2 weeks notice that leaves me only 2 weeks to recharge. For my mental health I really think I need an extended break (like 3 months). I have about 60k liquid to sustain myself and pay about $1500 a month in rent.

I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity. Even if an offer doesn’t come from it, is it weird if I send him a Starbucks gift card or something as a thank you? What’s appropriate?

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

Hi guys, After CAF completion by last week, yesterday I received a call from the HR for the second round of evaluation. So, I attended it yesterday and performed well by answering 90-95% of the questions. Even the interviewer gave good comments on my performance. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
