Work BURNOUT… LET’S TALK ABOUT IT. So a little back story. I am 38 a full full time single mom. I work about 60 hours per week. I do not get child support. My employer currently expects me to bring in 15 new customers & 100 existing every month… minimum. I have realized with my upcoming paid time off that I am burnt out. I recently have had no motivation to produce because I so desperately need a break. I sell internet and am the 2nd top producing rep in the region. Opinions to get my mojo back.
Let’s talk industries: what are some of your favorite industries to work HR in and why? Opposite question, what’s your nightmare HR industry?
Thoughts on PHR vs SHRM-cp cert? I currently have my aPHR and found it incredibly helpful but not sure which next level cert to shoot for!
Hi, Ben Analyst with 2.5 YOE. Anyone here graduate with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies? Has that held you back in your career and what degree or cert did you obtain when furthering your career? I am looking to grow in benefits and I've reviewed CEBs, PHR and was interested in obtaining my MA, in HRM? Feedback?

Thoughts on PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP certs? I have approximately 9 years of HR exp and my bachelors and MBA. Been debating on whether or not I need to fulfill my urge to get a certification. Wanted to get some thoughts around whether you have a similar background and opted to or opted to not get their certification? Thanks!
Hey, has anyone worked at both amazon and Google? If so what were your thoughts and personal preference? I'm trying to figure out the best choice for me. Any guidance greatly appreciated.
In comms structure, what do you think of this?
Brand new client - 25% of new-client fees for 6 months. Plus a 3% trail commission after the client has been with us for 12 months
Referred client - (where you have helped in the process) - 10% of new client fees for 6 months
Upsold client - (where you have helped in the upselling) - 25% of upsold fees for 6 months
Never had a trail comms structure before…
I have been requested to specifically develop of satisfaction survey directly related to management/supervisors and how they are perceived by the company. This would not only be new, but completely outside of the timeline we typically use for our surveys. Although I am excited to build it, it also feels odd that I am creating a survey targeted towards finding weaknesses of leadership. Am I thinking too much into it? What are your thoughts?
1) Which companies sees their BD organization as valuable assets and gives them the recognition they deserve?

So my company has slowly been pulling back on the WFH policy. And for the past six months, we’ve been offering a hybrid schedule, however; the higher-ups decided this week that we are to enforce a full return to the office by the beginning of Q4. This is not going to go over well, how do I soften the blow when explaining the new policy to the team?
Looking to resign tomorrow. My direct manager has been out sick but the head of my team is in. He hired me initially before we hired my current direct manager. Does it matter who I resign to? I don’t want to disrespect anyone but also I am trying to resign before they lay me off and tomorrow the head of our team placed an early morning mtg. Smells like a lay off…
I’ve been trying to get an HR Generalist role but I keep getting pigeonholed inTalent Acquisition roles because of my recruiting background. How can I get myself out of recruiting and into a generalist role? (I was an HR Coordinator for a few years).
I'm a Manager who would like to be promoted to Director in the near future. While reflecting on how I've developed in my role with my current company, I've realized that the only development/coaching I've received has been on how to interact with the difficult personalities on our leadership team. I know that messaging is important, but this feels really specific to individual's bad behavior.
Is this common for someone who is looking to move from Manager to Director?
How does the holiday weekend impact your quota? Still the same? It's still the same for me, which I feel is unfair.
Any suggestions on how to get around the “gatekeeper?” My job relies on calling and visiting cold leads and getting past the gatekeeper and speaking to someone who can make a decision is becoming nearly impossible.
