1.5 Years Experience in Public T10, no cpa.
A financial accountant position is open for a company/industry that is growing in my area. 12 employees, 2 in which are accounting/finance. I would be the 3rd. 1 is the CFO and is retiring in 3 years, 2 has been doing the accounting but wants to transition to HR/Management if they hire another accountant. Basically a short path to controller. Job responsibilities are traditional accounting and financial modeling/fpa duties. Should I take it?

7 year lawyer here. Been with the same big national firm all 7 years (not BigLaw) doing complex litigation. Been working remote a long time due to moving around for wife’s job. As a result of the moving was bumped off partner track. I’m looking at a great small firm that will be a practice change (but still litigation). I’m told they’re looking for someone with less experience and they’re skeptical because of my experience. It’s frustrating. How do I overcome this?

I’m in my 2nd year in audit. I want to pivot into management consulting within a big 4 or MBB. Has anyone seen someone make this lateral movement? I’m not sure how feasible that is and what steps to take. I’m also down to discuss further with whoever is comfortable in connecting.

Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.
