I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?

You could push to get clarity and answers…
But if I were you, I’d start looking for a new job. It sounds like the person they hired is trying to push you out. This happens a lot, I wouldn’t take it personally ( I know, easier said then done). But right now, it seems like you’re not in a position to get control of the situation. Once you start looking for a new and better job, you’ll feel like you’re heading in a healthier direction. Hang in there, you’ll get through it.
This is definitely a hostile situation and not conducive for you to be at your best. Talk to your career counselor and HR, your MD or account leaders and get this on record. Ask for a real role change outside the current project/ team/ boss.
In the meantime, Go for therapy and get certificate of mental trauma and toll this workplace toxicity is taking on you (I failed to do that).
My 2 cents, this situation will not improve any further, your new boss is insecure and is trying to create their own team and definitely you are not in their inner circle. Get out before they can do any further damage to you. Toxic people never change, they will only say they will but can’t really change. Stay away.
I would look but you could also provide examples to hr that contradict things people are saying. To move you out it's easier if they can just make up stuff about you. I've even spoken out loud in meetings to contradict & have announced "I'm saying this to contradict the current narrative that I am ....(whatever it is). You have to know for sure you are not however.
