8 YOE at my company & plan to ask for a raise for the first time ever. Gone from entry level S&M to essentially the Manager of S&M. I’m at $74K salary and plan to ask for $95K (I’ve exceeded target initially set for 3 people, solo). Can anyone share email text they used to ask for a raise? My first time asking… ever!

Is it the smart move to take a pay cut and clerk for a judge?

Little context: I was an ED student, full time paralegal/clerk throughout my law school experience, and a single mother. I did not take advantage of the law school extracurriculars and missed out on clerk application deadlines my final year (2020). Would it benefit me to take a pay cut as a transactional clerk by about $20k to work as a clerk for a year then re-enter firm life? I’m transactional and enjoy that line of work.

How much do first year principals at KKR make?

Is it a red flag to not use your current employer as a reference or would this not be noticed? I have other references I want to use who I think can better attest to my skills for the job but don’t want it to raise any questions.

As I move up in account management, what are the things I should be negotiating for? Commission on growth of my assigned biz? Profit sharing? Bonus? What’s industry standard for sr account people?

Does anyone work for Children’s medical center of Dallas on this form ? I know we recently had a “employee appreciation” bonus last month before Thanksgiving but not sure if that counts as one whole holiday bonus including Christmas , or it it’s safe to expect another in mid December ? I am currently working as an entry level claims adjuster. I am just about done with onboarding and I am interested in growing and earning more. I’m relatively young (30) and I want to make a good career for myself. My current salary is 50K and I am curious what growth is available financially. I am interested in fire and theft and SIU, but these are not the only roles I want to try. Does anyone have any idea the salary ranges available as I go further into different roles? (URBI,ARBI,F&T) etc?

Currently 6 years at job A at 100K and 10K annual bonus but lil to no upward mobility. It's safe if not going anywhere.

Recruiter reached out regarding Job B at 130K with greater advancement potential but it starts out at 6 Months Contract to Hire per the agency contract. No bonus, benefits adequate by comparison. There is no guarantee to go full time.

If you believe in “250k OTE” with no base then you prob believe in Santa still too. “OTE IS anywhere from 20k-250k” aka we have one guy ever that made that and the rest of you will not hit numbers and we will blame you, not the process .

If I have to book 20 meetings a month, how many conversations do I need to be having a day ( email, LinkedIn, cold calls, dark social ) with a drop out rate at 20%.

I know some times this job is hard, it’s not all steaks and martinis but that rush when you are at 99.2 percent for the the quarter and that last deal that would push you over the top comes in is exhilarating! Happy end of quarter!

Am I being underpaid? I earn £52.5k + £52.5k. Corporate AE (companies with 1000-5000 employees), 2 YOE as an AE, although I was an SDR for 2 years too (in my first year at current company). ACV roughly 50k. Quite complex sales cycles with a product that is hard to sell. 350k EUR quota. Just hit 1 year as a bdr at my company, and I wanted to hear opinions on the position I was put in.

I was 1 of 2 out of 30 on my team to hit quota last half. I was told to expect a promotion to enterprise BDR and a pay raise, with a slightly lower quota. Instead I got no title change, no new letter, my quota increased 58%, and I can only work enterprise accounts. I now have the highest quota in the company, most difficult job, as one of the lowest paid bdrs. Does any of that sound normal?
