I have a consult today and am wondering if anyone has recommendations of questions I should ask.

Background: 33yo, sperm donor, blood work showing diminished ovarian res.

After my first round of blood work Dr is recommending IVF. My partner and I were really hoping to go the IUI route. I’m really only looking to have one child (or rather one full term pregnancy regardless of how many pop out that time). As of right now we aren’t seeing other concerns in my body just the low egg count.

Hi, everyone. How realistic it is to start a career at McKinsey as an Associate when I just had a baby and my husband also has a demanding job?
Positive: My mom lives with us and takes care of the baby a lot + nanny/cleanin, and I am hoping to not travel because my industry is in the city.
Negative: Burned out at my current consulting company, working 10-11hours/day. I haven't felt guilt yet, bc I am WFH and I get to see her from 6 to 9 am then 1-2 hrs before bedtime and then I keep working.

Moms, let’s hear your mom fails. My baby girl rolled off the changing table this morning and landed flat on her back on the floor 😭 She’s fine, went to the pediatrician and all is well, but I still feel totally awful. I’m a FTM and I would love to commiserate or hear about your mom fails. We put so much pressure on ourselves as moms, I can’t stop beating myself up about it even though there’s thankfully no long-term damage.

I can't afford that now and cannot risk my job. Not in public accounting anymore. I work in SEC reporting at a pharmaceutical company.

Parents, have you seen your children become unusually irritable once you begin the weening off breast milk process? Has been about 1.5 weeks and we are slowly substituting for cows milk and our baby has been out of character/fussy/more high maintenance than usual. Normal?

I have a governmental entity client in Texas that wants to offer 6 weeks of paid parental leave for all employees, even those who aren’t eligible for FMLA. After the paid 6 weeks, the employee can choose to continue paid leave using any accrued personal leave.

Texas does not have a paid parental leave statute.

If paid leave above what is required is offered for parents, do we also have to provide the same benefit to other employees that are eligible for unpaid leave?

What are some resources on child development? I'm a first time mom and really can't tell if I'm doing enough to be sure she's learning what she needs to learn via play, activities, books, etc. at 16 months.

We just experienced our first meltdown with 2 kids under 2. We scheduled back to back dr appts for me and our toddler so my husband had to drive and bring everyone.
