A few questions on Keto:

- can you build or maintain muscle while on it?
- does it help those with lower body fat % (13-15) trying to go to 8-10%, or only if you’re trying to drastically cut weight?

It will help with lowering body fat a lot. You can build muscle on it, make sure you’re not bringing in too much protein because your body will convert that to sugar.

Yes to both - check out ketogains. They advocate a lower fat macro and have options for gaining muscle.

I was powerlifting the first time I went keto and all my lifts went up significantly while on the diet. As long you’re not calorie restrictive you can gain muscle and lose plenty of fat from my experience

I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(

Husband and I have been TTC for almost a year. His semen analysis came back all normal with the exception of morphology at 1% (Kruger Strict criteria). Not sure if this is the right forum but - my H1B extension has been approved (just got to know today) but my driving license will expire soon. I’ve hit a plateau on the keto diet (no weight loss in 3 months). So in addition to walking 5 miles a day (been doing this since month 2), on Sunday I started a Beachbody HIIT workout with weights (21 day fix real time). It’s 30 min workout daily and I’m two workouts in and I can barely move. Also, the muscle cramps are for real! Drinking about 80 ounces of water a day and I soaked in an Epsom salt bath last night, any other tips?
