Hi everyone,
I got a job as an AM in Canada and I haven’t received my final offer letter yet. I’m really excited about it and was wondering if anyone from Canada has received an offer for the same role and could tell me about the compensation for this role in Canada. I’m a university hire for level 4 Area Manager position.Amazon

Risk is you might actually enjoy your work and get compensated for it if you make this move
L&e always in demand. Do it tomorrow.
No-it just adds to your áreas of practice and you can always go back to ID but harder to get into employment

I dont see a single downside but I would just pay special attention to the salary offered to you. Clarify whether it's the going rate at the firm for someone of your class year, or if they are paying you less since you don't have employment experience and will be a cost center for the firm until you figure it out. If that is the case, negotiate a salary review prior to your first annual review. This happened to me leaving ID for real estate, and the firm agreed to a 6 month salary review.
Whoever writes the job postings for some of these ID firms needs a raise, I am looking for my first practicing position and they kind of draw me in.
Can you send an example? Not really JDs I pay much attention to
Thanks all- I appreciate the feedback. Just somewhat cautious when almost every single bit of feedback is cautious, maybe I’m just too jaded.
