After 2 months of being recruited for a GSD role and ultimately being flown in to meet in person was given the feedback that I won't be hired because "lack of eye contact." Never heard this before. And I definitely gave as much as I was getting back from them. When getting this news I asked for more details (so if it is a real issue I might could learn something from it) as well as why they don't think it's something that's coachable. They couldn't provide an answer. Thoughts?

Best way to explain to new firms that you are leaving your current firm because of the toxic culture and frankly, a President who talk down to people every chance he gets?

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?
