I currently work in federal healthcare but attend trade school at night for electrical work. My end goal is to become a business owner (master electrician). I’m a single parent and will be out of work as of July(end of contract). Should I seek another job in healthcare as I complete school? I am currently excelling in level 1 with 3 more to go, or start from the bottom in a blue collar field while I’m attending school. How do I realistically change industries without a drastic pay cut!!?

My former firm has gone through so many attorneys, me being one of them. About 3 weeks ago, it hired 2 baby lawyers. It has yet to post them or put them on the website. A different attorney that left is still on the website. I recently put in my 2 weeks in for a new job that pay higher but I now want to be " PRN" here and not leave entirely because i actually dont mind the work that i do. I do feel stupid asking my boss if I can PRN instead though? OR who knows what he would say anyway, what do you think?

This job is absolutely trash, and it makes me sad. Junior associate here who will likely be leaving the law entirely by the end of the year. I like the law and find the subject matter of my practice actually fairly interesting. But, it's more than ruined by the awful people you work with, culture, and complete disrespect others show for your time.
