Comparison is the thief of all joy. Just work hard.
Totally disagree EY2. The comparison gives me data about what’s expected and how my peers perform. By comparing myself to the population I know where I’m weak and strong.
Now...comparing myself to individuals, at least for me, is when the insecurities start to pile up.
We are all special 😝

D1 - Thanks for getting what I mean.
BA1 - I don’t disagree with you. We are all unique.
Just a reminder from my end to never be too hard on ourselves 😉💛
Sorry, EY2!
BA 1 - All good 😉 Virtual hug 🤗

There are different speeds (and acceleration) at which people progress in careers. Just to give a personal example - I made project manager at 30, people manager (sr manager in the hierarchy) at 32 , and partner at 36 . Some of my friends made partner at 32 . I made VP at 39 and many of my friends who made VP did so after me . And now we have Associate Partners who are 29 and a fair chance that some of us will work for them before we retire. That’s how this works over time - if you try to optimize for any one level in a long career, you may get some very skewed results
