AlixPartners can you please share about the TC and WLB for new parents?
I'm approached by the AP recruiter and in the final interview process for an SVP role (digital practice).
Already have two other offers (Strategy @ Walmart, 300K TC, and Marketing@ Amazon, 220K TC). 10 YOE
1. Will AP's SVP TC be higher than $300K? What's the breakdown?
2. Would you choose AP over Strategy @ Walmart or Marketing @ Amazon?
3. How difficult is it for new parents? I still want to spend time with my newborn.
How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

You’re a CD and they had you doing free spec work, that’s a head scratcher for me at your level.
I think your gut is saying B2 but your brain is looking for the stability in B1. Personally i’d go with B2. Good luck my friend and congrats 🎉🎊🎈
TBF B2 did too, but they actually paid for it which was refreshing!
Update: I withdrew from the process with B1 as they asked for a revision on the (unpaid) creative task as part of the 5th step of the interview process. Bonus is them implying in their email that they're being kind by giving me the weekend to work on it. B2 it is!
At a startup you’re more likely to wear many hats, which gives you varied experience but can also be stressful because your role isn’t well defined.
At a large brand, it’s the opposite. You’ll more likely have a very defined role and but it can be harder to move outside of it.
Pros and cons to each and depends on how you like to work.
Help me fishies, I am genuinely torn :(
I feel much more supported by B2 as the conversation is along the lines of "do what you need with the department and we'll do what you need us to in order to realise the vision" whereas B1 is far more aloof and has me jumping through the hoops, and nitpicking the work in a way that shows they don't understand creative and my role.
B1 is a more established brand with a bolstered team, and is a more well known brand. B2 is very under the radar but very purpose driven.
Package is $30k difference, with B2 paying less but providing equity.

brand 2 sounds really nice. You can always go back to pain in the ass clients or agencies if it doesn't work out but Brand 2 seems to value your insight from a genuinely good place. Plus equity is 💰
Great points! B1 was also really appreciative of my work and thinking, but their uncertainty worries me especially given they headhunted me - I didn't apply for the job.
Congrats OP! you chose wisely :-)
