So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?
Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Wish I could get fired. I think the severance would be just the final perk that would make that scenario preferable to actually having my job
No. I’ve seen how hard it is for places to fire even the most incompetent of people (think just not showing up some days, getting 5/20 weekly tasks done, etc)
I was working on a pretty crazy project in terms of workload: we were regularly working past 9 PM.
I was consistently dumped the grunt work and while team members got more interesting work. Work felt monotonous while got no appreciation for the work I did, and I felt excluded from the team altogether (ex. entire team at client site, and I was the sole person in the office). I was still assigned deliverables but started to lack the client context
I also kept raising concerns with some of our approach in terms of data collection. All ignored, and the concerns came true. Then we needed to spend more time fixing them.
I scheduled a call with my manager to discuss how I can better contribute to my team. He said to follow-up next week to continue the conversation! The next convo was that I would be rolled off and put on a PIP.
Not afraid I’ll get fired, but afraid I’ll fall out of favor by the partners that matter.
Yes, every single damn day. Gotten to the point where I’m okay if I get fired because I expected it lol

Been there
Why do you feel that way OP?
I feel like it’s both imposter syndrome and me just being hard on myself. The stress is real
No, my employer loves me. AMA
Every single day. Imposter syndrome is so real.
