At what point in a relationship do you expect your SO to make a reasonable effort to show up to major family events (i.e. graduations, weddings, etc.)?

People who have cheated in their previous relationships, how did you come to realize the reason behind your behavior? A close friend confided in me that she has cheated in all her previous relationships and struggles to understand the reasoning behind it. Sleeping tips??

Ever since Covid I’ve started having trouble sleeping because I dream of attacks happening in various locations (weird I know). I’m normally *very* practical/pragmatic about that sort of thing, and I’m fine again once I wake up, so I’m pretty sure it’s just a reflection of feeling like I can’t control the situation as every time I can’t seem to stop my fiancé from dying no matter what I do :(

I have realized I grew up in a household where my dad did not treat my mom as an equal. He belittles her, is rude and convinced his way is the only way.

My partner of over 1 year dropped a comment that made me feel very uneasy. He said that he loves everything about me but wishes I was a bit more socially active. I love being on my own, reading, watching series, FaceTiming friends and family abroad. I moved to London 2 years ago and because of the pandemic it has been hard to establish solid relationships here. Am I being too much for feeling hurt and insecure suddenly about this or is my partner a bit of a dick for making that comment.

Four years out of rehab today. Mostly sober since I “graduated”. Sometimes I want to act out and be caught, so I can be punished…because I don’t believe I was punished enough or suffered enough (divorce, losing a house, suicidal thoughts aren’t punishment enough apparently). In a meeting tonight a couple shares brought me right back to when I hit rock bottom, to the pain that I inflicted on others and myself. I need to remind myself every day that I am worthy of love and recovery.

I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs.
