Would you ever go in house if your role is the only one of its type? For example, I'd be the only product project hybrid? I'm coming from a large agency and debating the pros and cons.

I’ve built a reputation I’m proud of @ my company. I’m underpaid for what I do (started as an intern) & recently asked for a market adjustment. Management acknowledged that I’m undervalued & plans to set me up for a promotion. It’d come with more responsibility, which doesn’t align with my goals.

Is it wise for me to remain open to a promotion just for increased pay? Or should I be transparent with management about my goals (& possibly not get the pay I’m asking for)? Or any other tips?

I'm 4 years qaulfied & in an accounts based role with exposure to personal tax. Starting to feel my learning is slowing down. Due to acquisitions I feel like I'm falling down the pecking order and while I love it there concerned about my long term direction.

Ultimately I want to start up on my own and currently thinking if I use the next year to gain an tax based qailfication (ACA) looking at ATT?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). I did that for almost 2 years before making the switch. I miss sales, though. Does anyone have any connections to companies looking? I have also considered a sales analyst role considering that I am moderately versed in Salesforce and have worked both the customer facing and sales generating side. TIA!

Im looking to buy a home, program is zero down (no PMI). I make 150k base salary; take home 8k mon. Im looking to buy a house under 350k in my area. Im looking at a payment of about 3k including prop. taxes in a newly gentrifying area. My plan is to house-hack and in a year move out. Is this monthly payment too high?
