I was in a coma in 2020 for 19 days and had to learn to walk, talk, and eat again. I barely survived the first time. I am terrified of a second time.

I work in a public school setting and am allergic to citrus. My district has stated that it is too much trouble to accommodate me. I carry an Epipen and have an anaphylaxis reaction to being exposed to citrus. My district is not accepting my doctor note. They think I am exaggerating and refuse to limit citrus fruits on my campus. An HR meeting concluded that I was required to work through it/use the emergency response team if I have “an issue”. I have a looming sense of self hatred. I take medication I workout and do all the things to feel good, but it’s just stuck there.
