Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

I've never rented a car in Mexico, but for GPS I would recommend downloading google maps offline for the area you need. I just did this while traveling over the summer and it worked great.
Yes license is enough. Keep passport on you though. Some rental cars require that. Use your phone for navigation. No idea about SP coverage.
I rented through National via the Cancun airport. Booked through AmEx business travel with my EY contract which provided insurance. Save the directions ahead of time but also used some international data on my phone to keep an occasional eye on google maps while en route to Tulum.
Don't do it. Bad things happen to foreigners in rental cars. Take a cab or bus.
Chase sapphire covers everything with rental cars in the states. Not sure about international though
If your CC has LDW (loss damage waiver), that should cover damage to the car. However you still need to purchase Liability insurance through the rental car company. Not doing so could result in several nights in a Mexican jail while the police resolve the financial liability for any medical and properly damage.
CSP covers insurance internationally
All the time in Mexico City with Hertz and Avis. You just need your passport. I pay with Amex Plat for insurance.
EY2- is that ok considering it's not a business trip? Will Amex honor the agreement when it's a personal trip
Use chase explorer and Gps on phone.
