Doubt it
But how much tho...
It pisses me off that they keep dangling this phantom stick infront of us to make us work hard because if we do end up making partners well make big cash. Truth is we have no clue if they're actually making it big or this is all a lie. More fing coolaid.
400k-1m depending on the clients you bring on.
Junior partners at big 4 make a lot less than the senior ones. My career counselor in grad school was an ex PWC partner and he was making about 600k before he left. But he only did it for like 7 years and this was in NYC in the financial services dept. They start around 400k from what the word on the street is.
Its a known fact that pwc tax partners make 400k starting.
I don't think it's a scam, judging by the cars they drive, vacations they take, and houses they live in, they're clearly doing quite well.
I'm not B4 and what I make won't be relevant to you but if truly the deciding factor for you is the $$ and you are willing to put in the effort to making that number what you want it to be, you won't be disappointed if you make it to partner. If you think because you make it to partner you will automatically make $X follow the earlier advice and look at exit opportunities.
Pwc 4 i disagree. I know directors that have been directors since i started 9 years ago. Its not about sticking around. It's more about playing the game
I don't think I have a problem playing the game. I recently heard a lot of conflicting information. One the one hand I heard they make a lot but on the other hand it's just not worth all the trouble if that's a fallacy they feed us to keep us in the game.
Average big 4 partner makes 800k, but location, seniority and service line all make for big variations.
You would be surprised. Remember you're buying in to well established business that is set to pay you great returns for life.. And you were allowed 10yrs to finance it from the firm...
They do make a lot but not everyone will make it, in fact only small percentage makes it to partner so I wouldn't worry to much about it, start searching for exit opportunities if you feel like you are not fitting in political game
The money is real, but really only one in 20 people make it to the partnership. If you're not digging it, join the 95%.
I heard something about dilute shares. I will Take $400k and up
At the Big D, last year your buy in 75% of first year salary. The buy in was 300k last year.. That was rumor was
No way it costs that much to buy in to the partnership
If they make so much why do most big4 partners seem rather drawn. Most drive either a 5 or E and live in an above average town but nothing fancy. Maybe it's the industry
