Any Jr. Project Manager openings?
I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

As some context I generally have had very strong reviews on client interaction as a consultant. But I feel people start to open up with me after they have seen my ability to perform on the job. But as I grow, I want to be able to ‘connect’ sooner. Also I am a new immigrant in US so I find it hard to connect over sports or where they went to college etc etc
Would appreciate any tips/books/advise
Thanks :)
Floral ties are a big sell - trust me, I am definitely a partner with a capital P
Think about what advice you can give them, not about your engagement, but more generally. Is there a really good or bad person on their team? Is there something you’ve noticed about their interaction with their boss? Boss seems to react negatively when you XYZ.
Also, ask them about their career ambitions. About their family, personal interests, etc.
You can’t do this in a steer co. You need to find time to talk one on one
Listen more than you talk! And be genuine. Don’t try too hard to sell something. Get to know them on a more human level. And again - listen!
Same boat. 1 year in US.

Being pleasant and not showing nervousness is a great start . If you are a new manager - there is no real reason to make connections in accelerated fashion - this is the time in your career where you can and should take time to build solid relationships , so use it to your advantage instead of rushing it .
One more point - some of the best CXO relationships I have today is from my early days where I established relationships with more junior members of the client team . They are also growing while you are growing .
