Call with SAP recruiter for Concur Tech SC. I’m a 2C at B4 with a healthcare finance background. I’m familiar with SAP GUI and ERP as a user but never implementation. Is this a good opp?

Cont’d from OP... I wouldn’t mind a pivot from my background in healthcare ops/reg into FinTech/IT to gain more technical expertise. I know basic SQL to grow more into IT given the market’s demand for hard skills, and this opportunity seems like a good transition from being a B4 advisory generalist into a more specialized consultant. However, I’m only familiar with business expenses as a user, and I’m wondering if Concur may pigeonhole me. I like the idea of working for SAP or other financial systems for the rest my career but would like the ability to move to other SAP products if I wanted in the future. Would working on Concur be a foot in the door (as someone with no hard IT background) or limiting to a specific niche within travel expense and hospitality? Ideally I would gain implementation experience and certifications in this Concur role to leverage for future prospects in my 5-10yr plan.

Hi everyone i need advice. I got a new job and am leaving SF for MSFT. My preferred start date at MSFT would require me to only give 10 days notice instead of the 14 days notice. Can I give only a 10 day notice or will this essentially burn my bridge at SF in the future?

How is your agency managing the war for talent these days in terms of retention? I’m a little at odds with mine where we seem to be giving promotions and higher pay to any and everyone who gets an offer elsewhere. In the long term I don’t see how it benefits us to have talent with further inflated titles running things they aren’t skilled for. It also makes ppl like me who had no intention of looking want to look just because. Curious what others are experiencing/feeling?

I have a quandary to share. My work exp has been tech heavy, starting as a software developer for 8 years; outgrew that. Then for the last 4 years, DevOps, specializing in the Cloud, IaC and GitOps. The tech parts (sans human) feel empty sometimes, and I want to try out transitioning into product. As DevOps, I have loved my share of helping internal customers (dev teams) as well as being an advisor. I love unsticking people. Is it possible to market that for job desc that asks for mgmt exp?

Keep grinding? Or eff it?
Will hit 7-figure income for the first time in my life this year. Have about $2M in savings. Almost 40. Worked a lower income job before B-school, then paid down loans and saved aggressively to build up a couple in million in 6-7 years since.
Could MAYBE live off the $2M. But man, I’m tired of working. But now that my income is high, it seems CRAZY to not keep grinding and saving. But could I take a year to reboot? That feels stupid though.
Any advice?!?
