That's for bonus points, A1. Yes, you can do that OP. The downside is you have to get a new key each day and will probably annoy the front desk a bit.
I haven't tried it but my team mate told me that SPG has found a way to merge it, you would have to change properties if you want to do it 😊
Ugh yeah it would be annoying to pack. It's confirmed that they'll always merge the nights?
You must bounce between 2 different SPG hotels I do it all the time
Yea I moved from Sheraton to Westin and back at the end of the year to hit the number of stays requirement. They were next to each other which made it easier. Annoying to pack and move out each day.
I think the min stay is 2 nights right?
Yeah would be worth it for a bit. I'm trying to hit plat so I can get Marriott plat and then United silver...
Wait, my plat challenge email only lists 18 nights. Do they not do it via stays any more?
Starwood shuffle!!
Ya just do the 18 nights, much easier that way
Per program rules consequence nights at the same property is one stay. Some hotels don't process it correctly so you may get lucky. Depends on how it posts. SPG can also audit and fix later.
In my experience the hotel staff will see your multiple stays, inquire and insist on combining them
