Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!

Wow man nobody is going to give this much detail from other firms.
And btw, the 401k match is 25% of your contribution up to 6% which works out to be 1.5% of your salary, then 50% of up to 6% so 3% of salary.
Let's see: Deloitte phone: hardware 100% covered and voice and data 100% covered. You choose to use your own phone and expense a portion of it to Deloitte 60/40 usually. We get $50 phone accessory reimbursement every two years. Staff 1 PTO is 25 days and 12 holidays. Goes up to 30 PTO for managers. (New hires starting in sept '17 will get 23 PTO and 12 holiday). We get 4 months fully paid family leave renewable each year that can be used by anyone to care for any family member (new child, old child, parents, spouse). We get 25% of 6% 401k matching. We are eligible for the firms pension plan (with vesting). Access to Deloitte University (training perk). My past three years I have seen an average of 10% raises and 15% bonuses for staff seniors. Staff also got bonuses (last 2 years).
We also get the $500 per year reimbursement for health related expenses (gyms, massages, events). We get $25 for OT over 11 hours. As for promotion bonuses, I haven't seen one. When I got to senior, I just got a nice raise (19%) but no bonus. Anything I missed?
PwC has a similar program to reimburse childcare costs as EY6 mentions while you are working late nights or out of town so your spouse needs childcare to attend events or whatnot.. up to $1,000 per year reimbursed but is taxable
@EY9, experienced hire seniors get half of the normal bonus, so 10% in this case. I think if you come in as a staff and then stay to manager, it's still 20%.
For EY, I also need to add that we get 3 personal days per year in addition to vacation and sick time.
Sick time is unlimited to use for yourself or family that is sick.. also can be used for dr appts. Bereavement is separate and generally a couple of days but not sure official firm policy
At Crowe: Cell phone monthly is $50 staff/sr staff, $75 manager, $125 sr. Manager/parter. PTO: 20 days for first 10 years, 25 days for 10-15th year, 30 days 15-20th years, and 35 days for 20 years and up. Firm paid holidays: 9, plus two floating holidays, plus they usually "surprise" us with two random holidays. So total usually 12-13. No sick time on top of PTO. 401k is 50% match up to 5% of salary, 3 year vesting, plus age based contributions at the same time every year that you get regardless of your own contributions. We get $240 per year for gym memberships. We also have quarterly overnight bonuses, so every night away over 9 nights is paid out in a bonus. $25 for nights 10-19, $50 for nights 20-29, and $75 for nights 30+. If we spend more than 72 nights away from home in a year, we get put into the "Road Warrior" program. That means they will pay for either a high fee credit card (I have the Chase Reserve) or a year to an airline club up to $450. Every night you spend away, you get $10 to a fitness club/class. Device reimbursement. And once a quarter, they'll pay to send you anywhere you want for the weekend, and they'll pay for it, or if you're in a cool location, they will pay to have someone sent to you and pay for the weekend. Maternity/Paternity: 6 weeks for birth/adoption or custody of new child. This was a recent change, men used to only get a day, so I'm really happy my firm did that :) we now just call it parental leave
EY OP you forgot the $400/ year in reimbursement for childcare. Basically if you have to work and your kids are out of school (school holiday e.g.) you can expense up to $400/year to pay for childcare costs. Of course it's a taxable reimbursement but hey it's better than a poke in the eye. I think you can use it for any dependent but I don't know, I just use it for my kids during winter break.
PwC paternity is 6 weeks for primary or non primary, 12 for twins or adoption.. expected to be taken in one consecutive chunk.. there are ways to extend further for primary caregiver... does not affect raises or promotions.. there's an option if you are out long enough during a year to forego the career round table annual rating and opt to keep your prior year rating
I guess kpmg folks are so ashamed of their benefits that choose not to post here. No cell reimbursement until manager, no compensation for gyms or anything. 25 days of pto (but really 27 as we usually get two free days for the Christmas shutdown), same shitty 401k match and beating schedule. No promo bonuses (but there are insignificant retention bonuses if you choose to stay for x number of years). Oh and they introduced free tsa or global entry yesterday lol. Overall, it's clear that Deloitte are in the lead with pwc coming in second.
You must be a pleasure to work with
^You're right. Anybody else please correct me of I have gotten something wrong with the EY info. I really hope the somebody from the other three firms participate. That only took me a few minutes to write up.
^i knew this before having a baby and a prorated raise
^missed the first sentence. Whoops
@EY OP, not sure what you mean about 401k vesting over 5 years. Pretty sure it vests immediately. Also, while it's been a while since I looked at the new pension plan, 15% seems high. Thought it started at 2.75% for youngish folks and got up to 7.5% for very senior folks (25+years).
Wait that's wrong my APB was 1.9% lmao
Did they change our PTO policy, because I haven't heard anything about it? Or is it only for incoming, and since we're grand-fathered in, we aren't affected?
In addition to the 401k contribution of 25% of first 6% they automatically put in a percent to a retirement wealth builder plan that vests over the same 5 year schedule. I think they put in 3 % as an associate, 4 as a senior and 5% as a manager
There are also "real time recognition rewards" to say thanks for help on certain projects.. each senior has $100 to give to staff each year and managers have more but not sure how much.. I've gotten maybe 250 or so this year as a senior from that, so it's not much
😂😂😂😂 $20 cellphone reimbursement but you have to show the specific usage for firm business on your phone bill. 18 pto and 10 holiday with no sick days and 1 "personal day". No promotion bonuses per se as bonus is solely tied to performance. First years weren't eligible for bonuses until this year and apparently they won't get one unless they've been with the firm for a year which they haven't (October starts). I believe its 50% match up to 6% of salary for 401k but not positive. Definitely no "health and wellness credits". They used to give bonuses for those that travel a lot but ditched it because they were cutting costs. Seniors and above get $400 a year to give out accolade points to their underlings. But hey every once in a while and during busy season they give us free snacks so totally makes up for it. Then an email is sent out saying that upon looking at market data certain things aren't being done with the rest of the market so they have to change a charge code for travel. Like haha that's all they have to change to be with market. Oh we get $49 per diem a day or you can expense your food.
PwC3, what's a six week paid sabbatical for senior managers? How does it work?
