I’m dating a coworker I met on a project. It’s been great so far.
The firm official position likely says that they cannot restrict staff personal relationships... This is legal-speak. Do not buy this.
Any employer would see this as a potential risk. Risky employees get less opportunities and more oversight.

Also, Zoom has a “touch up my appearance” feature. Make sure the person looks like that irl.
Because it was Zoom you’ll be basically stalking the person, not a strong start…
“Stand up and lemme get a good look at you"
Maintain plausibly deniable tension/camaraderie while assessing how often you’ll have to interact with this person at work
I get it man. Tough with covid especially. I’d look outside of your workplace
Instead of “I noticed you from afar” it’s that “I’ve been pinning you to my desktop whenever I see your face on calls” 😂
Just to be clear SC1 I don’t 😂

Its a different time, we no longer look for love in the workplace
This ain’t no Rihanna song...you should not find love in a hopeless place.
Don’t 💩 where you eat
Also sound advice
I met my SO at work, we kept it pretty discrete in the workplace for about a year then slowly started letting people know. Eventually I left that company but now a few years later, she is my fiancé and we live together and have a couple of dogs. I feel like if you’re professional, don’t have fights at work, and are mature, it’s not a problem. We work so much that it’s not a surprise that you’d find someone you like at work.
If you choose to dip your pen in company ink, be fully ready for your employment contract to be found at the bottom of the company’s shredder.
I am not a lawyer. For matters relating to your non-compete consider consulting one before making potentially career ending decisions.
Nope
^^same—met my SO at work, didn’t really tell anyone for a long time. But eventually our close coworkers found out and I’m also at a different company now. Just be smart about it! Listen to your brain and not just your you know what.
Thx bro, I’ll use my big brain energy to find a way to leverage and implement an optimized solution for dating at work ahahah
Play the long game. Meet and chat when it’s organic and see how it goes.

Don’t dip your pen in company ink..or your coworker

Kinda creepy to hit on someone simply from their Zoom pic?
If only the Q center was up and running...
I would also add, look nice, look at the camera, don’t multi-task or appear distracted. Maybe internet stalk her and find out something she likes that you have in common and hang a poster behind you. Unless that thing is George Michael.
