Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. I am in PDM Specialist/ senior consultant 1 &2. This is my promotion year. How do i conform the next title is PDM specialist 2 or the PDM manager?

Can you help explain why a team would be able to afford hiring an individual under PDM at a higher salary but unable to offer the same package under the Traditional route?

For context, I’m currently negotiating for a role and have expressed some of my concerns. My recruiter has been very helpful, but I’d like to better understand the reasoning before making my decision. The offer is $100k for PDM, but $85k max if brought on as Traditional.

Can you be on more than one project at a time? Like if you have a project that only takes up like 10 hours a week, can you get onto another project to fill the remaining hours? I know your coach is supposed to be your project manager which is why I wonder if it’s maybe not allowed?

I'm in the middle of a background check with Deloitte for a Project Delivery role. In the background check application I listed my previous employers - Cognizant/Teksystems etc but my resume only had the client names I worked at . Does this pose a problem if Deloitte HR compares my resume to the background check form ? Also my title within cognizant might have been an associate but my resume mentions the designation for the client. Is this a reason for concern? Will they ask me to justify it ?

It's day 2 for me at Deloitte (PDM) , just received my laptop yesterday , completed a few of the trainings and created/uploaded my resume. Coach and onboarding advisor have not been assigned yet. When do I get assigned to a project? What does that process look like ? How long does this orientation go on for ?
