How do companies now view candidates from Meta?
Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Two weeks does not seem excessive for a Director role...
Consider taking your other offer.

Approvals are even more required during Covid. Also EY operates like this, my experience in rushing them has lead to them
Deciding to let you take the other offer
Nothing abnormal here. Run of the mill EY HR/red tape.

Holiday season - last week we were closed for 3 days and most people were out the entire week. Also covid requires additional approvals, including Jesus’ and his father.
So 2 weeks is not unreasonable is my point.
There is also a bit of pause on this because of some internal stuff I don’t think this is a red flag but it’ll probably move forward faster in the new year.
I was Told the same thing three weeks ago, decided to take another offer I had on hand. They took too long and didn’t seem to want to accommodate any convo to expedite

Yeah M&A too
Pretty standard in my experience
Eh, I’m not too sure about stalling. Our team’s are usually pretty busy so no reason to wait on a project to bring you on. If you’re coming in as a Director I’d imagine you should have the experience to hit the ground running and help. More than likely it’s just as the others said and it’s the red tape or getting a hold of the partner to approve.
I was made an offer and then countered. Took over a week for them to get back to me. Shoot took like 2 months to get the team to do an in person (pre-covid). Took another 3 weeks for the background check.
That's standard. Not sure what was your expectations.
Thanks- guess I’m use to being involved with recruiting more jr resources and the turn around time is much shorter (which makes sense).
