Sorry to hear this my friend. Hope you keep your head up.
Spoken as someone who has failed many interviews, including at least 2 that I swore at the time were the most important opportunities I would ever have. 1 of which legitimately made me cry when I got the rejection (I didn't even cry at my father's funeral.....). Typing this I can remember that raw feeling of devastation and I 1000% empathize with you.
But I can also promise that after a little time this feeling will pass, you'll look at yourself/your family a few years down the road, where you're at in life at that time, and you won't even be able to imagine all the great things you'd be missing out on if you had taken this job that seems so important right now.
I know that may be small comfort right now, but I can pretty much guarantee that time will bring you this clarity. Whenever bad things would happen to us, my grandpa used to say, "in 5 years you won't even remember this." He was a very wise man. Life definitely has a way of sorting itself out in the long run.

The same position/opportunity is available in another company! What if you didn't get that opportunity because the universe has something better and bigger for you. You mustn't lose hope. Something tells me internal moves are typically easier and more comfortable but sometimes they don't offer the most $$$.
Again, don't lose hope. Have faith that there is something bigger and better out there. Get up and start looking for jobs elsewhere. Speak to career advisors and reach out to recruiters. Trust me, there is so much out there that could make you happier, more financially stable. Don't lost hope and keep looking!
This! Also- go somewhere with education benefit and get your Bachelors to go with the work experience you will be getting

I don’t have advice, I just hope you feel better 💜
Could you see if you could set up a recurring 1:1 with someone in the same department you want to go for and see if they’ll coach you on steps to take to eventually get there? Or see if they know more entry level roles to get you in the door of HR.
Or try getting some HR certifications online and add them to your resume.
Don’t give up, like A2 said find someone from that department and see if they will coach you. If not, setup your mentorship profile and find a mentor
Speak to your HRBP and see if they can help
Maybe even take the non traditional approach to get to where you want to go.. like I have a few year plan to get to where I want to.. I failed multiple times, so I changed my strategy.. and at 1 point I just wanted to quit and go work for at a coffee shop.. live that feeling, cuz when you achieve what you wanted it will be that much sweeter
Remember it ain’t over until you say it’s over!!
Good luck!
