If you are a female educator in a public school in Texas, I have a research opportunity for you. I am a Doctoral Candidate at Baylor and doing a study on the experiences women working in the field of education have had that triggered shame and exploring their resilience to those experiences. All of this extra work preparing for in-person, hybrid or some type of combination is a great time to be earning clock hours. We can design classes to fit your needs and you will not need to pay until 2022 when you move up the pay scale. Let me know if I can help. Email me at robcollins247@gmail.com

Do you mean comfort or fix? It does not take much energy to just be with someone and listen to them. What takes energy is trying to fix them. What is your spouse looking for? What do you think you need to provide? If he is cranky, defeated and negative, which is understandable then he is the only one who can turn these things around. There are no words that you can say that will take these away. You can listen and help him process, but the hard work is up to him. Talk to him and tell him how you feel. Your feelings are as important as his. You are responsible for yours and he is responsible for his. Empathy is the key! This is not an easy thing to do. It takes lots of practice and consistency. Good luck!
