For those who have moved to a major metro (New York, DC, Chicago, etc.) for career progression (more prestigious firm, promotion, etc.), has it been worth it?

Is getting into crypto law a bad idea or is it a burgeoning field??

I'm working on skills to reposition myself from a branch of tech where certifications are mandatory and required to even interview into DevOps or software development. I'm currently taking some online classes in Jenkins, docker, python. I've found a few certifications you can test for. I'd love to be able to go into a mid level position vs Jr in the next few years. A) Are these types of certs helpful or useless? B) what skills differentiate Jr and mid level positions?

Has anyone regretted going in-house as patent counsel? If so, were you able to successfully transition back to a firm?

Any PowerBI consultants out there? Curious if the need for this is really out there, how lucrative it is, and what other skills help in your process (sql, python, etc)

I accepted a new job, they said PTO was “generous.” I find out it’s 19 days a year of PTO (which includes sick days). I have two young children and we like to vacation 1-2x a year (no more than a few days away each time). Am I crazy that this is pretty limited time off? 8 of the normal holidays off during the year (working the week between Christmas and NYE). Thoughts? I dont know if lack of PTO is a good reason to back out, is it?

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
