At some point do clients get tired of the revolving door of associates and partners who lack any familiarity with their matters? Like why use them to exit a platform when nobody from the initial acquisition is even there?

Why would any decent associate want to work at this firm, and why would any in-house counsel familiar with their tactics ever hire them?
Quality of work doesn’t increase with associate churn- it decreases. It’s like a game of telephone where info and nuances are lost as the information is passed.
I’m a millennial and I support the growing movement for calling these firms out. If your business model depends on abusing new attorneys and then damaging their careers - you are acting unethically and should collapse.

LS too, rumor is 10-15% of that group because their realization rates aren’t good

Hi all –
As a firm, we have never engaged in commenting about or discussing – in forums like Reddit and Fishbowl – how we run our business and what we may or may not be doing. At the same time, we have seen a recent uptick in posts that are blatantly untrue, including posts about “continued layoffs” at the firm. And we want to address these rumors specifically and unequivocally.
I mean I work elsewhere, but if you’re going to ask a question you better know the answer. You just tossed-up an easy denial.

As a reminder, like all law firms, as a matter of litigation risk mitigation, laid off associates are going to have to sign confidentiality agreements and one sided non disparagement agreements as a condition to getting severance and website time. They would not dare to reveal themselves and rebut the firm’s dubious position.

You can always come to Mintz. We basically hiring anyone with a JD at this point.
If you search Mintz under Big Law bowl, you will see tons of comments about Mintz from other former/current Mintz folks. To be frank, it’s not that bad to me but I’m in one of those “clubs” people complained about in those comments. But again, like what I said, I’m only recommending people got laid off from Goodwin to apply Mintz if they need to get a quick job and getting paid while looking for another job…
