Got diagnosed with ADHD today and my doctor prescribed me Vivance instead of adderall due to the shortage. Does anyone have experience taking vivance and know it’s effectiveness compared to adderall ?

I love Vyvanse, it's the only way I function. You're probably going to have to try a few different medications until you find something that works for you, so be patient.

Make sure you stay hydrated, as all stimulant medications tend to dry you out. I'd also try to limit caffeine at the start until you can get your dose right.

1) congratulations on your diagnosis ❤️❤️❤️ 2) it's gentler than adderall in terms of coming down from it. Vivance made my stomach hurt though. Overall you should be fine

You mean nausea or like actual abdominal pain?

Everybody's different. There is no consensus.

This is my first month on Vyvanse versus Adderall and I can say Vyvanse is a much smoother focus. I could tell when Adderall kicked in and would get easily irritated but Vyvanse helps a lot with emotional regulation. I prefer Vyvanse over Adderall for sure but everyone is different!

Every medicine is different! When I was first diagnosed when I was young I was put on a medicine that just didn't work for me. I eventually found what worked best for me.

Vyvanse puts me in the zone in a way that’s a little less extreme than my IR addy did. Helps me step back and see the bigger picture so that I can work smarter, and not always harder. Good luck in finding what fits best for you!

Vyvanse works. I prefer adderal XR but like vyvanse I’m less irritable on 😂

Don’t know compared to adderal but Vyvanse has been profoundly effective for me

Apparently if you get really stressed, the meds can be less effective or I suppose it’s more of adhd more out of control so meds do less. Ask me how great that works for work when it’s work stress making your meds not really work 🍾😂

I prefer Vyvanse to Adderall. I've been on it over 10 years now.

What is the drug culture like at your office? I assume people don’t openly talk about what they do in their free time if illicit, but they may do so quietly or you can otherwise tell.
Do you get the impression many people do them? If so, soft drugs (ex - weed)? Hard drugs? Non-prescribed study drugs? Frequency? At work-sponsored social functions? To an extent that it’s noticeable/problematic?

I'm at a career juncture and have decided on a career in anti-money laundering as my new path. I'm also highly interested in additional education to further my career and am eyeing graduate school. Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. I keep reading that JDs are valued in compliance but am wondering if a different graduate program is better for my goals. I already plan to obtain the CAMS certification. Thank you!

My psychiatrist today revealed to me that I may have ADHD, still a hypothesis that he is still exploring but from my personal experiences and discussions with therapist, it seems likely.

One example of personal experience is my ongoing prep for case studies as I'm interviewing with a number of firms. I do struggle to keep focus and generally take a bit longer to finish them, specifically the structuring of the case. Does anybody else feel the same way and any recommendations to overcome this?
