For those that are home grown (at least 2 levels) into the PPMD level, how has your relationship with juniors that you’ve been close to from the start evolved? Have you had to pull away from them (intentionally or not) or are you just as close? Is the saying “it’s lonely at the top” rung true for you?

Do you think you and your significant other should have similar personalities? My significant other and I are doing long distance and I feel like when I FaceTime with him, I emote more and show interest by asking more questions but from his end, he doesn’t always have a reaction or just nods, and it makes me feel like he’s uninterested. On his end he sees it as he’s comfortable.

I'm an engineer, and I feel like my manager is more of a friend than anything else. We talk about our personal lives, and I feel like it's hard to be completely honest with her when she's so casual with me. I don't want to lose our friendship, but I also need to be able to talk honestly with someone who has the power to help me grow professionally. Is there a way to have both?

I am so tired of my sister and mom, and the pressure they apply on me to get married, 32 year old female and I have not met someone yet. I was in a relationship last year for a year and he turned out to be a very mean person and they now don’t trust me at all and want me to marry the first nice guy I go on a date with even if I have no attraction at all, and if I go on a couple of dates and I don’t feel it, they question my judgement. I feel like dying from the pressure.

On the topic of intimacy with partners… I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and the past year his libido has dropped to zero. Mostly due to work stress (he says). Whenever I try to initiate, he always shuts me down and says he’s not in the mood. I even touch him and he gets hard but stops me as soon as I try to unzip him. We went from once a week to maybe once a quarter.

I’ve talked to him about it and he says I should take care of myself. So frustrated. 😭😭

My wife often calls me by 5:45/6 to ask where I am if I’m not headed home yet. Sometimes she’s stressed with kids/dogs/dinner and really wants me home. This really throws off my concentration because it makes me feel rushed. Like many practices sometimes I’m out at 5:30, other times it’s much later. Just depends and is unpredictable. Any advice on how to approach this?

I made a mistake. I talked with the ex this morning. He said he misses me. And that while he walk talking to the other woman, he wished he was talking to me instead. And when he saw that I didn’t respond to his texts, he drank a shit ton. And then called this morning.

He’s not willing to commit to the other women because he’s not over me.

I need to block him.

My girlfriend is willing to break off our entire relationship because she found out my mom doesn't approve of her. We have no issues between each other but she said she can't be with someone who's family doesn't like her.

Am I crazy or do women take pride in saying “my boyfriend/husband makes twice as much as me” or similar statements

How much per week/month do you spend on daycare?

Perspective: monogamy is anti-human nature; in this era where each parent could raise a kid independently, marriage tends to be a shackle on many aspects of life. We live once, why does society expect us to live with 1 person for 60+ years? No wonder divorce rates are through the roof!

Trying to help my retired dad - When I google for what to do after retirement, only retirement planning related things shows up. My dad has been a workaholic and hasn’t developed many hobbies he could pursue. I was wondering how I could help him stay slightly occupied if not busy. Question: Girl friends parents finally came over for a ristha. Everything went great or so I thought but now she wants to time to think about moving forward. The pain point she brought up is that we are in different states and she is feeling pressed. Although in that time she has started communicating less and I literally had to beg her to get on face time. My gut says she wants to end it but unsure. Any advice ? Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?

Folks, very new to the EE process. Most recent draw cutoff was 75 points but there are still folks with higher scores in the pool. Does that mean candidates are picked based on time in the pool? A CRS100 could be picked over a CRS300 if the CRS100 has been in longer?

I applied for a job at a well-known healthcare company a couple of months ago. I had a number of remote interviews and then they asked me to fly out for a final round of in-person interviews. Later that week they told me that they were going to be making an offer. Another week has gone by and still no offer. They said they are still working on it. Is this the new norm for recruiting? I have other offers and can't keep waiting for these foot draggers.
