Stop, Breathe, & Think is also free for educators and has excellent children’s meditations as well! Highly recommend!!

I actually didn’t know that, but I’m going to look into it. Thanks!
I do mindfulness exercises with my class every week.
I signed up using that program and tbh I’ve been using it every day for myself. I would love to use it in the classroom, but I just don’t see how it would work with my classes this year (although I may give it a shot since we are coming up on testing).
The thing that I struggle with is how to explain it to my students. Like...you aren’t being quiet and still as punishment...this is a good thing.
I tried using it with my class this year,it seemed to work but then I stop since the children were not adhering to the rules of mindful based strategies. I started doing mantras and Alexa ( meditation music/Relaxing sounds ) my kids are mellower than when they first started out
I work with ED and AU students K-5 and I do meditation and yoga every morning with them. I use cosmic kids and zen den on YouTube with them. They really like it and say that it really helps them. Their behavior also increases on days when I have a meeting in the morning and can not do it.
I do everyday sometimes twice a day! We use calm, headspace, YouTube mediation, mindup curriculum, signing bowl.
I use some of the breathing and stretching videos on Go Noodle with my middle schoolers. I try to find the ones where they can stay in their seats, because they're too self-conscious to do the others.
I love Calm! I really just use it now for bedtime stories. I used to suffer from insomnia and now it’s my routine for bed. When I don’t have a story I don’t get to sleep. My favorite is anything by Eric Braa. He has such a deep voice and just puts me out.
I know you were probably looking for a class technique, but there’s my two cents for personal use of Calm.
