Got an offer for a sales applications manager role at Cisco and a Strategic AE role at Amazon - both are basically the same pay (130~ base, 220 OTE)
I don’t have any friends at either company so I was curious if anyone has experience and can shed some light on culture/ work life balance to help me make a decision? Thanks for the help guys!

Do what you want to do - the company is certainly not looking out for you in that way and they will look to fill the position if it truly puts your team in a dire situation. I would certainly understand that you're doing what's in your best interest

Don’t put your notice in until 2 weeks… if you put it in now you run the risk of getting let go and will have no income for the next 2 months. Put it in on 2nd week of January and get paid during the holidays. Firms laid off people in May right after busy season… the “we’re family” bs was gone after Covid. 2 weeks notice in itself is a courtesy to them.

Yes. At the end of the day, you pay them to do their work description. That’s it, full stop. No extra demand for loyalty, no empty promises for next year, etc. If you want an employee, you pay to keep them and make sure they’re content.
What kind of an idiot pays someone below what they’re worth and then demand that they be loyal to them then when shit hits the fan they’re quick to layoff those same people?
Not to mention I’ve been here long enough and have seen several people who did what op is asking and were laid off on the spot “because it doesn’t make sense to keep paying you during the firm shutdown if you’re leaving as soon as you’re back anyway”.
Put your notice! And enjoy your new opportunity!

Do what's best for you. They wouldn't hesitate to fire you if it was best for them.
Put your notice in now and vibe
I want to but because of the complexities of this position I want to do it at the last minute. Ugh it’s killing me. I would love to be off for two months but there is a chance something happens and this position goes away.
I would put in your notice now and tell them what your end date is so they can work on sundowning you and transitioning responsibilities to others.
It depends on what work you are doing in Nov- Jan for the firm - this will impact whether they want you to stay or not
Nope
