CAIA vs CFA?
Hello Fishes, I carry 5.9 yrs of exp in International inside sales & LeadGen (Domestic- 2 yrs & Europe- 3.9 yrs) working for Tata Elxsi from past 2.8 years. As I'm not getting the expected hike based on my performance, I want to change the co. Current package - 8LPA, too low compared to market standards.
* Let me know- how much should I quote if I start to give interviews * Is it a good time to switch co. Also share which companies should I approach. Thanks in advance.

Hot skills? Explaining to technology illiterate C-suite execs why cyber is important and how much money they could be losing if they aren’t on top of everything
Then you sell em projects to cover everything you mentioned 🤑🤑🤑
The best way to obtain those skills is real project experience. Try within the firm, if that doesn't work, apply externally as there is plenty of demand for security consultants.

I think most cyber jobs in consulting can be divided into four areas: Policy, Audit, Red Team, Blue Team. From there you can further specialize but I would pick one of those categories first.

By the way, you are essentially still a generalist right now with the certifications you have. So all four options are open if you’re willing to learn.

If you’re basically looking to switch gears, I would apply at another firm. Everyone is hiring into cyber right now and you’d likely get a paid bump as an experienced hire coming from another B4.
I really like the team here and they are building cyber practice within our group, so not thinking of leaving yet but want to keep my skills sharp
Nice job getting those certs! Try to get into cloud security, DevSecOps
Oh! Very nice. If you have the time, check out one of the entry level Cloud architect or cloud security certs from aws or azure. Actually I’d recommend azure as it has a lot of native security tools (and a lot of the trendy peeps usually go w/ AWS or GCP so imo there’s a solid market for azure skills). If you don’t have the time, just check out one of the 100 or maybe 200 level free training. It’s the level people study to learn the terminology and basic concepts. See how you like it. If you have an interest EY has MSDN available with partner approval - provides free azure credits every month. You can build your lab there. Once you learn azure pretty well you can convert those skills over to the other public clouds. Also check out discover, tons of cloud sec assessment stuff up there. Get cloud on your resume/profile and maybe you’ll get picked up.
Curious how you got your CISSP without cyber experience? Or are you an Associate of ISC2?
I said I passed CISSP. Yes, I am associate of ISC2
