I believe KPMG was hiring a Manager of People Strategy. Not sure if that aligns with what you're looking for. Also, I'd try posting this in the referrals bowl as well. I've seen a few people looking for HR candidates in there. Good luck!

I'm in the last stage of the screening process for an Amazon AWS security engineer position. Due to the recent hiring freeze, I was given two options: - go through the last screening (5x1 hour interviews) and, if accepted, wait for a position to open. If not accepted I have to wait 1 to 2 years to apply again, as usual. - OR don't go through the screening and having to go through another screening process. Advices on what to do are welcome. Right now I'm more prone to go through the interview.

I just got laid off about a month ago. It was the biggest blessing because the place was severely dysfunctional. Just left the big 4 and unless I am reading it wrong it appears my PTO payout rate was related to the number of hours I charged and not my salary (PTO $ rate = earnings/total YTD hours)? I guess in the end there was a benefit to eating all those hours! ;)

Help me think through this decision please.

Gov attorney, 8 years out of law school and will make over $100k for the first time this year. Gov benefits are great and WLB is amazing (I have a wife and child). We are less than 2 hours from all of our collective family now. I have an offer with a small firm I am highly interested in. $165k base + bonus for only 1800 billable hours, but it is 8+ hours from our families. $90k in student loan debt left. Am I wrong for wanting to take the money?

I am engaged in the relationship for 13 years with 2 kids. We are in the process of planning for a wedding, but I have some thoughts on my fiancé relationship with his parents. He will not stand up to them when it comes to me. We live a few mins away from them, they just always feels it’s fine to just stop by whenever they want without notice. I recently got laid off and am really grateful to have received a job offer pretty quickly. It’s for an outsourced HR company where I would be HR/Payroll Manager for about 10 small to mid-size clients. Curious people’s thoughts on if this would be a step back career wise?
