Hello why is it so hard to find a job for mentality challenge kids and adolescent verses the adult psych?I rather work with kids because they are the ones who need people like ME and others, don't get me wrong adults need help also but kids need it more. Thats all I'm saying

Anyone have situational depression? Can’t stop beating myself up over a decision a year ago. Basically missed out on a massive amount of money. I know this seems trite and i never even cared thatt much about money before this year.

So many other good things happened to me this year - got married, got a puppy, moved etc, and yet the one thing i keep returning to is this decision as though i ruined my life. Ironically the only thing ruining my life is my outlook and yet i just can’t stop.

I just got my client divorced from a truly horrible person who abused her and her children and she got everything she wanted and the kids are doing great and only one hasn't been successfully discharged from therapy and I'm just so proud of her and feel so lucky that I got to do a little to help her along the way

Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. My aunt passed away suffering from cancer last year and didn’t have her own kids. I was there by her side throughout her battle. I still wish I had done more, made her life easier. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.

When my parents call I don’t answer and call back 4 hours later. I tell them I’m busy but I’m just hanging out here in FB, playing ps5 or online shopping.

Sometimes when my spouse snores i’l flick them real hard and they will wake up panicked and I’ll say “ are you okay? It was just a dream a bad dream...shhh just sleep” and then they will calm down and fall back asleep with less of a snore 🥴

How do people make friends here? I have the ones i grew up with and a couple I made in the last couple of years (neighbors/through mutual friends) but I generally find that people here just stick with their social circles

My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. Anyone here adopt a puppy during the infertility struggle? Husband and I considering it to have something positive throughout this situation and thinking the extra companionship would be helpful. I work from home. Husband has had many family dogs and lots of experience with it, I’ve had a family cat before. My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. General corporate in NY looking to lateral into tech transactions at one of the EC/VC firms. I’ve heard that I may get a class cut if I make the move but I’m ok with that.
