Do you have salesforce technical skills
No I don’t have any I have only core consulting skills, essentially whatever the smoozy management consulting folks do (pm, slides, functional analysis, recommendation making and modelling, many industry exposure)
Coach
Go on trailhead, do some trails, get the focus on force practice exams for admin, get admin, apply for BA positions
Awhile back, as a Sr. Business Analyst with 3 years of SF experience I was making 120k. YMMV
Product mgmt, tech skills under sf umbrella like mulesoft, sf development or anything which interests u. Take a look at sf careers site to identify these skills
Ty will take a look at this
Network with the partners in PWC salesforce practice and see if you can get staffed on one of their projects and in parallel start doing trailheads and may be even get your admin cert.
DM me I'll get you transferred to our SF practice.
Was there. If u r looking at salesforce just sql may not be sufficient. Upskill in one or two areas which u like and keep applying
What areas do you mean by upskilling?
Joined this post late...
just like other poster stated.
Get your SF admin, once you can pass that, start networking, applying for jobs...
Meanwhile, while you are networking, start work on the SF BA Analyst cert, since it sounds like a lot of what you are doing in your current work appears to be BA skills.
Source, I have 1 YOE as SF BA, recently changed roles to SF Admin, current rate is $110K in LCOL area.
Had about 8 years of IT Opns experience previously.
Ty, that’s positive to hear a transition like this is possible, I have like 5 years of manufacturing/ops experience, and then now 2.5 years of Management Consulting experience. I just hate my work that doesn’t make any real quantifiable impact!
