Anyone here have comorbid anxiety and/or depression? How did you know, and how do you manage it now? I think I might be struggling with one or both and I’m trying to figure out how to proceed. Would it be bad if I change my start date? I proposed to my employer a start date 2 weeks after I quit my job, but now that I think about it, I feel like I need a week to recharge before starting a new job.

I started a new job recently and then had my PTSD seriously triggered, plus a panic attack. Felt so on edge and low on emotional resources for over a week that I wasn’t myself and apparently really rubbed a few people the wrong way so I was called in for a talking to 😣. I let people know there were some personal things going on, but didn’t mention the PTSD—very unsure if that’s something to share, or if I’d be judged for it or... I don’t even know. Has anyone else dealt with PTSD and had it impact them at work, and how did you handle it?

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.

Any advice on dealing with an eating disorder in the workplace? Mine is taking over and my work is crumbling. I often can’t focus or remember anything from meetings or conversations because I havent..
